Dial-A-Story Printing Register to print Public computers WiFi Printing Please note that the library is only able to accept cash for printing. The charge for printing is $0.15/page in black and white and $0.50/page in color. Printing from Library Computers Send your document to the printer using the printing option in your program or by using the keyboard shortcut “crtl + p." By default, the destination will be "save as PDF." Click the destination menu and select "see more." A Papercut printing window will open, prompting you to log in. Your printing account is set up under your library card number and the password "OCLN" by default. If you do not have a library card or are unsure what your printing account user name is, please see library staff for a guest printing account or register your own online . Select the black and white or color printer as needed and click the "print" button. Go to the print release station near the library's help desk and log in with your library card, username, or guest pass number. Deposit change or bills into the coin-op machine. Select individual documents to print, or click the “print all documents” button. Click “log out” once you are finished. If you have change, you can choose to have it returned to you or saved to your printing account. Printing from Your Own Devices Your printing account is set up under your library card number and the password "OCLN" by default. Double-check the print preview on your device. Library staff cannot offer refunds. When prompted, log in. Computers Library computers are available for use based on the terms and conditions detailed in the Internet Safety and Computer Use Policy . These conditions include, but are not limited to: A library card is not required to use a computer. All computers are available on a first come, first served basis. Users are responsible for ensuring that their work is saved prior to logging off the computers, such as on a USB or via cloud storage. To protect users’ privacy, library computers erase all browsing history, files, etc; library staff are not responsible for lost content and cannot recover this information. Printing/copying is available at a cost of $0.15/page in black and white and $0.50/page in color. Headphones must be used to listen to audio content. All computers will automatically shut down 30 minutes before the Turner Free Library's closing time. Downloads Files that are locally downloaded will save to the computer's Downloads folder or can be saved directly to an external storage device. All downloaded files are erased at the end of the computer session. Logging Out/Inactivity To log out, users should click the red “Exit Session” button in the bottom taskbar. This will end the computer session and wipe all local user and browsing data. The inactivity timer will automatically log users out after 10 minutes of inactivity. A warning dialog box will appear after 9 minutes of inactivity. WiFi Free wireless internet access is available throughout the Turner Free Library. Hanging in the room are portraits of several members of the Turner family, whose generous donation founded the Turner Free Library. In conversation with these historic paintings is the mural See Yourself in a Story (2024) by Randolph artist Jamaal Eversley. The mural incorporates reference photos taken at Library events and sent in by members of the Randolph community as well as depicting some of the historic paintings in the World Languages Room. The See Yourself in a Story mural - which was funded by the Cultural Council of Randolph, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency - celebrates diversity, inclusivity, history, and the power of storytelling to connect us all. Dial-A-Story The Turner Free Library is proud to partner with the Massachusetts Trial Court to offer access to virtual court services through the Access to Justice library initiative. The Access to Justice initiative works to ensure that all members of our community have equitable access to court resources, including virtual services. Through the Access to Justice website you can: look up case information, join a remote hearing, get help from the court service centers and front desks, find court forms, and more. Turner Free Library card holders can reserve the Meeting Pod or the Turner Free Studio as a private, quiet spaces to attend court remotely. Dial-A-Story The Turner Free Library offers black and white and color printing services. The cost per page is $0.15 for black and white and $0.50 for color printing. Read on for information about how to print your documents! Printing From Library Computers Printing From Your Own Devices Creating a Printing Account Printing From Library Computers 1. See library staff to create a printing account if you don't already have one. Your account will be under your library card or guest pass number. 2. Send your document to the printer, selecting the black and white or color printer as needed. You may also select single or double-sided printing, and the number of copies you would like printed. 3. Double-check the print preview on your computer; what you see on the screen is what will print. Library staff cannot offer refunds. 4. On the confirmation popup, check to ensure that the number of pages and the price is correct, then click "print." 5. Go to the print release station near the library's help desk and log in with your library card or guest pass number. 6. Deposit change or bills into the coin-op machine. 7. Select individual documents to print, or click the “print all documents” button. 8. Click “log out” once you are finished. If you have change, you can choose to have it returned to you or saved to your printing account. Printing From Your Own Devices 1. Go online to bit.ly/tflprinter and follow the instructions for your device type. 3. Send your document to the printer, selecting the black and white or color printer as needed. There is no confirmation screen; instead go to the print release station and log in with your account information. 6. Deposit change or bills into the coin-op machine. 7. Select individual documents to print or click the “print all documents” button. 8. Click “logout” once you are finished. If you have change, you can choose to have it returned to you or saved to your printing account.
